Они прекрасно сочетаются со всем вышеперечисленным, да и любой современный человек не представляет своей жизни без них. А ведь когда-то джинсы были частью рабочей одежды. Удивлены?Да, то в чём вы запросто можете пойти в магазин или на свидание, было незаменимым атрибутом рабов на плантации, правда, такие штаны были сделаны из хлопка, поэтому новаторство и респект мы по справедливости отдаём тому, кто придумал джинсы, а именно немецкому иммигранту Ливай Страусс.

Первоначально Страусс хотел продать золотоискателям ткань для палаток и повозок, но рабочие больше всего нуждались в обычных брюках без лямок. Тогда немец решил шить их из имеющихся материалов. Такие штаны разлетались даже лучше чем горячие пирожки.

Но не стоит забывать ещё об одном человеке, портном из Невады Джейкобе Дэвисе, хотя его имя не так известно, но именно ему мы обязаны прочностью карманов. Джейкоб придумал металлические заклепки для того, чтобы штаны можно было скреплять на талии и в нужных местах :). Так и началось это плодотворное сотрудничество. Но все же, летопись истории джинсов стоит вести от 20 мая 1873 года. Именно в этом году Ливай Страусс и Джекоб Дэвис получили знаменитый патент №139121 на новый способ крепления карманов; с тех пор джинсы и начали свое победное шествие по всему миру.

Немаловажно то, что первоначально джинсы назывались «waist overalls», что переводится как «комбинезон до пояса»; слово «джинсы» появилось в 20-30-ых годах прошлого века, вошло в язык из молодежного сленга, и было взято компанией Levi Strauss для обозначения своих штанов  несколько позже, в шестидесятых.
Так же стоит отдать должное Голливуду, если бы не бравые ковбои, одетые в джинсы, они бы так и остались рабочей формой, так и не пробравшись в ряды повседневных вещей.

Во время Второй Мировой войны покрой и дизайн джинсов был видоизменён. Число знаменитых заклёпок Дэвиса решили сократить. Во-первых, их пришлось убрать из-за хорошей теплопроводности металла, что было важно для солдат (а джинсы были их официальной униформой), а во-вторых, в военные годы, большое использование металла было, по меньшей мере, нерационально.

После войны подростки как будто бы сошли с ума. Но несмотря на растущую популярность, в джинсах не пускали ни в кино ни в театр, а увидев ученика в школе в джинсах, могли его попросту выгнать.

И наконец-то, мир дождался того, чтобы джинсы признали частью модной индустрии. На них обратили внимание многие дизайнеры, и сегодня джинсовая одежда- одна из составляющих коллекций многих кутюрье.
В 21 веке совершенно не важен пол, возраст, социальное положение. Нас всех объединяет одно: безграничная любовь к джинсам.
